Pasteis de nata are tasty egg custard tarts originating from Portugal. A great dish to serve at the end of a meal as an alternative to a dessert.
Prepare this simple dish by combining egg yolks, cream and sugar in a bowl. Then line your muffin tray with the puff pastry. An extra tip: Serve with toasted pistachios.
Step 1
Pour the fresh cream, sugar and egg yolks into a mixing bowl. Whip all the ingredients together to get a mixture with no lumps.
Step 2
Lay your puff pastry out and cut into small discs which will fit the mould in your muffin tray. Place the puff pastry discs into the single moulds. Now pour in the mixture.
Step 3
Place the container into the oven. Select the forced air convection heating function. Temperature: 185°. Cooking time: 24 min.
