A typical Greek street food dish eaten all around the world. This recipe uses thin strips of pork marinaded and cook on skewers. Served with pitta bread and salad.
Marinade the meat with half of the onion, garlic, oil & herbs, and leave to rest in the fridge. In the meantime slice the lettuce, tomato and the leftover onion. An extra tip: Add fresh chilli to the marinade for an extra kick.
Step 1
Marinade the pork loin using chopped onion, crushed garlic, rosemary, thyme, honey and oil. Leave to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes. While the meat is resting cut the lettuce, tomatoes and leftover onion ready to be added to your pitta breads.
Step 2
Thinly slice the pork loin. Add to the baking tray and cover with the marinade.
Step 3
Place the baking tray into the oven and cook at 180°c for 25 minutes.
